Sallie Jones

Where do we even begin with Sallie?! A true community spirit championing all things regional and rural, Sallie is not only the co-founder and Managing Director of the hugely successful dairy company Gippsland Jersey, but she also co-founded Women in Gippsland and the Warragul Farmer’s Market.

Sallie has been instrumental in changing the face of mental health in farming communities and breaking down the barriers to seeking help and accessing vital mental health services. Her company, Gippsland Jersey, commits to paying farmers a fair price for their milk, ensuring a healthy respect for the industry.

The Warragul Farmer’s Market was born out of a desire to honour the incredible food and sense of community in Gippsland, and to give consumers a chance to appreciate where their food comes from by sourcing directly from farmers and producers.

Women in Gippsland is an inclusive celebration of successes and challenges of women across the region, with a wide-ranging audience and dedicated following. Their annual International Women’s Day event attracts visitors from all corners of Gippsland.

Sallie loves to say, “Your vibe attracts your tribe” and she certainly has built quite the tribe here in Gippsland with her ability to connect and collaborate with producers, creators, makers and policy-people. She has been known to pull together a large-scale event in less than a week and will stop at nothing to make her co-collaborators and community feel included and valued.

We're incredibly grateful for the generous support Sallie has provided us here at Gippslandia, by selflessly introducing us to key stakeholders, advertisers and strategic partners throughout the region. Her passion for promoting our corner of the world has provided us with many meaningful connections and stories, and we continue to be in awe of how this literal superwoman continues to enhance the liveability of Gippsland by tirelessly contributing to the community.

We love you, Sallie!
