G.J. Gardner Warragul

G.J. Gardner Warragul is a locally-owned franchise, backed by one of Australia's biggest home builders. Our team of local trades build high quality homes, both custom designs and from our range of designer plans.

Why is Gippsland a great place to do business?

The West Gippsland landscape provides an exciting opportunity to design and build homes that work with the sloping land, not against it. We can even modify our standard plans to suit sloping blocks, without having to build a completely custom home.

You would be hard-pressed to find better trades than the ones we work with, and our clients value the high quality they deliver.

What’s the one thing about your business that you wish others understood better?

Even though we have the name of a big builder, we are 100% locally-owned. It's the best of both worlds - we have access to a large support network of professionals and suppliers through the G.J. Gardner network, but we operate on a local level and have a core group of excellent trades that build our homes.

Why do you support Gippslandia?

We love Gippsland and anything that supports our region gets a big tick from us.

Why is it important for your business to support local initiatives?

It is really important to us that we don't just build homes, but be part of the building (or re-building) of local communities as well. We are already seeing a large number of clients that are moving to Gippsland, and by helping to promote the local area we are showcasing our wonderful corner of Victoria to more people.

What does a successful and supportive community look like to you?

People shopping, playgrounds full, cafes pumping out coffees, and restaurants full. We know all this has been put on hold lately, so we can't wait to see our towns in Gippsland thriving again.

What do you love about being based in Gippsland?

Where else would you want to live? Yes, it can rain a bit here in West Gippsland, but because of that we get the beautiful green rolling hills to look at. And when we need that hit of city/beach/mountain life, it's all so close.

What is your ‘not to be missed’ tip for people visiting our region?

We asked around the office and the top of the list was Wilson Promontory and a meal on the back deck at Noojee followed by a walk along the river!
