Welcome to Gippslandia – Issue No. 34 – Friends!

In our final edition, we showcase friendship as a cornerstone of life in Gippsland, highlighting how it fosters support and connection across the region.

All after all, why can't we be friends?

With stories investigating how we create childhood friendships, the value of Blue Light Discos to adolescent development and gaming groups that have nurtured supportive relationships in real life.

We hear from energetic swimming collectives, a crew that created 'friendship family dinners' and dynamic book clubs, as well as a farm in Noojee that's growing their community through veggie boxes and sharing freshly-picked lunches.

Let's not forget Gippsland's wonderful community initiatives, and our beloved "Friends of" groups that continually demonstrate collective action based on their shared passions.

Ultimately, friendships enrich lives, provide support through challenges, and contribute to personal growth and well-being. Gippslandia itself has been a platform that's fostered numerous meaningful connections over the past nine years.

It would have been impossible for Gippslandia to have passionately celebrated our region without a little help from our friends - you! - our supporters, contributors and readers.
